Bountiful Blessings!

The Annual Benefit Auction for 2010-2011 was held February 11-12, 2011. The weather was beautiful and everything seemed to go very smooth. Thank you to all who donated to this project and also to all who came and so generously gave. The auction totaled $114,000 by the end of Saturday and we are so thankful for this blessing.

The long-anticipated wait is over! "Wait for what?" you ask. For the auction, of course! The 27th Annual Benefit Auction was held on February 11th and 12th in the Mitchell Christian gym. Items auctioned off included all of the class projects, furniture, homemade goodies, and two cars! A beautiful painting of our school by John C Green sold for $10,000, with half of that price going to MCS, along with the profi ts of every copy of that painting that is sold. Anonymous donors paid money to hear groups of people (including the preschoolers, the soccer team, and the seniors) sing their ABC’s. Dozens of parents, teachers, and students participated in the festivities and helped make everything run smoothly, from the silent auctions to the pay counter to the concessions. At the end of the weekend, the auction had brought in $14,000 for the school! So if you were looking for another year of laughter, good food, stiff competition in the live and silent auctions, and a chance to raise money for an amazing cause, we hope you made your way out to Mitchell Christian, because it was the place to be!
