The MCS Board of Directors is comprised of six members. Our current Board of Directors for 2008-2009 is
Larry Thompson-Chairman
Building & Grounds
Larry and his wife Vicki have been involved with MCS ever since they began sending their daughter, Lindsay, to preschool in 2001. Their first exposure to MCS was attending the fall banquet with friends from their church. One of the reasons Mr. Thompson decided to be on the MCS board was because of how impressed he is by the great education in a loving and safe environment MCS provides for children. He felt God leading him to run for a board position in 2004. He says, "Serving God as a board member of MCS was one way I could help make a difference in the lives of my children and others in the school."

Pam Thomsen
Spiritual Life
Pam Thompson and her husband, Jerry, have been blessed with three children: Trish and husband Charlie, Deryk, and Cody. They also have two grandchildren: Lincoln and Bentley. Mrs. Thompson has been involved with MCS since 1995 when her daughter, Trish, was a freshman in high school. Her desire to be involved with the board was to improve communication between the administration, parents, and students. Mrs. Thomsen commented, "Another hope was to have the students more active in the community with service outreaches and to be able to use their strengths and spiritual gifts. There are still many things that can be improved and the staff can only do so much. If God has laid something that needs to be improved....get involved!"
Marilyn Wieczorek
Spiritual Life
Marilyn and her husband Les have been involved with MCS since 1986. All of their children have attended MCS. Right now their youngest is in high school. Their children include Alissa (Class of 1999) and her husband Jeff, Chris (Class of 2004) and his wife Liz, Becky (Class of 2008) and Jay, who will graduate in 2012. Marilyn and Les also have two grandchildren, Akela and Amaeus. Together as a family, they have logged a cummulative total of 48 tuition years with MCS, with three more to go. Marilyn says their family loves MCS and the MCS family. They appreciate the significant impact MCS has had on their family's life story. "Serving on the board," she says, "is one of the ways we can contribute back to the school and hopefully be a blessing to the staff and families of MCS."
Jill Nydam - Secretary
Education
Jill and husband Glen currently have three children attending MCS. Part of their decision to re-locate to Mitchell was the presence of a solid Christian school in the community. Mrs. Nydam and her husband both attended Christian schools and they appreciate the importance of education taught from a solid, Biblical foundation. They have been involved with MCS since they began sending their daughter, Kendra, here in 2004. Mrs. Nydam says about her decision to be on the Board, "I have a passion for Christian education and taught for four years before becoming a stay at home mom. I was approached by the nominating committee and after prayer and with the support of Glen I agreed to run for a term on the board. I loved it so much I decided that if God wanted me to serve another term I would run again, and if elected, continue to do my best to represent the families of MCS. My goal is to do what I can to hold to our standards of excellence while evaluating how we can improve our academic offerings and fine arts."
