Current Board of Directors

The MCS Board of Directors is comprised of six members. Our current Board of Directors for 2012-2013 is:

Bob Plastow - President

Bob and his wife Pam own Plastow and Associates, a technology consulting firm in Mitchell.  They have two daughters, Moriah and Adaya, and have also hosted four MCS foreign exchange students.  They attend Mitchell's Life Church.  Bob graduated from MCS in 1996; all nine of his siblings are MCS graduates, and his family has been involved in the school since 1988.

Bob joined the board to help cast the vision and goals for MCS.  He believes that parent involvement is very important.  He wants to see the school become more financially independent, increase its donor and family base, and expand its learning opportunities for students at every level and in every discipline.

 Stan Haidle - Vice President

Stan was MCS's first chairman of the board, and his wife, Dr. Ruth Haidle, was its first superintendent. Prior to its creation, Stain chaired the steering committee that met weekly for a year before launching the school. He subsequently wrote a book about the early history of the school entitled The Battle is the Lord's.

Stan has extensive experience in fundraising.  He wants to see the school continue to grow its programs, particularly in the fine arts, and believes that MCS must continue to teach a Biblical worldview to our children. Stan is  active in Christian Education and has spoken, consulted, and conducted workshops for Christian schools including James Valley, Sunshine Bible, Madison, Watertown, Aberdeen and Yankton.

 Kris Enga - Secretary

Married to Brian, Kris Enga is a stay-at-home mom to three boys - Jens, Anders, and Syver.  She has degrees in microbiology and biology and has subbed for high school science.  She feels it is important to provide an academically challenging education for our kids that is based on God's Word.

Kris plays trumpet at Northridge Baptist church and in the city band.  She believes that varied extracurricular activities are important to help kids discover their unique gifts and talents.

 Chris Peitz - Treasurer

Chris and his wife, Michelle, have one son, Isaak.  Chris works as an Investment Advisor at Independent Financial Center.  He and his family have been involved with Mitchell Christian for the last six years.  He has assisted with the MCS Golf Tournament and Auction and is often seen with his wife taking tickets at our home basketball games.  Chris would like to see more families enroll their children at MCS and help to improve MCS's exposure to the public.

 Cindy Krall

Cindy and her husband, Jeff, have been involved with Mitchell Christian School since 1988.  Their children (Matt, Taylor, and James) currently attend MCS, and the family attends Mitchell Wesleyan Church.

Cindy maintained a private practice in speech therapy for ten years before leaving in 2001 to stay home with her children.  Since that time she has been a very active volunteer at MCS: helping with lunches before the hot lunch program began; leading Bible studies; working in classrooms; chairing the auction from 2006 to 2008; and helping launch an oral interpretation program in 2011.  Cindy considers serving on the Board a great opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of the school, and she hopes to bring new ideas to MCS in the process.
