1st Mitchell Christian Education Association Meeting.

1st Fall Banquet - Minnesota Viking linebacker, Jeff Siemon

1984-1985

MCS first opened its doors at 520 North Lawler, the old Job Service building, offering classes P-9th. There were twenty-nine students; five full time staff; three part time staff.

1985

1st Benefit Auction in the parking lot, across the street, west of North Lawler building, raising approximately $1,400.

1987-1988

Purchase of a new building at 723 East Ash, the old telephone maintenance building.

1988-1989

Beginning of renovation for the new building.
Sunday, October 9th, dedication service.

1991-1992

High School Accreditation
1st graduating class of five.

1994-1995

Elementary moved into newly purchased Whittier building on South Sanborn.
1st Dinner Theater - under the direction of Judy DeGraaff - "Live at the Palace"

1995-1996

Boys basketball team goes to the State Tournament.
1st twelve year graduate - Rachel Mueller 1996

1996-1997

1st Mission trip to Mexico - Spring Break 1997

1999-2000

Auction hits over $50,000
MCHS takes
1st place at the CBH Academic Festival 
(repeat in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006,
2007 and 2008.)

2002-2003

MCHS Boys Basketball Team goes to the State Tournament and becomes the State Champions.
Mitchell United Soccer Team takes
1st place at State Tournament.

2004

Construction begins on new facility.

8/21/2005

Dedication of the new facility at 805 W 18th.

2005-2006

MCHS Girls Basketball Team goes to the State Tournament for the first time and becomes State Champions.

2007

MCHS Boys Basketball Team goes to the State Tournament and
becomes
State 'B' Runner-Up.
MCHS Girls Basketball Team becomes
Conference Champions
for the first time.
Jill Young surpasses South Dakota career scoring record
on February 13, 2007,passing
the 3,268 points set by Becky
Flynn-Jensen of Wakonda in 1991.
Auction hits the
$100,000 mark.

2008

Auction hits the $122,000 mark.
