For 13 years, Miss Nancy Shearon devoted her life to teaching Spanish and English for all the high school students at MCS. She has seen many students grow from freshmen to seniors in her years teaching here. When asked about what she liked most about Mitchell Christian, she responded, "I really like Christian education. Being in a different atmosphere and being encouraged to share my faith are the things that I enjoy most."
Before coming to Mitchell Christian, Miss Shearon lived in South Dakota and lived off retirement. She also taught at a public school in Missouri for 9 years. We sadly said goodbye to Miss Shearon in 2008 as she went home to Missouri to live with her father. She plans to continue her Christian education by teaching English online through The Potter's School. She also hopes to work with Voice of the Martyrs in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
She is greatly missed by the students of MCS, but her legacy and her touch on the student's lives will be felt for all of eternity.
