Mrs. Hobbie's Biography

Mrs. Nikki Hobbie was born and raised in Mitchell, SD. She attended school at MCS, Eugene Field, LB Williams, Mitchell Middle School, and Mitchell High School. Mrs. Hobbie and her husband, Anthony, have two girls, Haley and Natali. Mrs. Hobbie also has two brothers, a sister, and a nephew Braedon. When she is not teaching math and Spanish classes at school, Mrs. Hobbie enjoys cheerleading, scrapbooking, The Sims, Guitar Hero, city league coed volleyball, and doing logic and crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Hobbie got her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Math Education from Dakota Wesleyan University. Mrs. Hobbie says that her passion for teaching came from teachers that she had in middle school and high school.

Mrs. Hobbie's life verse is Jeremiah 29:11. Her classroom philosophy is that each student has God-given strengths and abilities. Through school work, students will learn what their strengths and weaknesses are, to develop their strengths and work on their weaknesses. She wants her classes to leave with an appreciation for the way this world work and God's design of it; appreciation for other ways of thinking.

When asked if she has ever been on a mission trip, Mrs. Hobbie replied, "Not yet, but I would like the experience. Preferably outside the U.S."
