Mrs. Beukelman's Biography

Mrs. Sue Beukelman was born in Parkston, SD. She was raised on a farm east of Dimock. She attended a country school for grades 1-8, and rode the bus to Parkston for her high school years. Mrs. Beukelman has been married to her husband, Duane, for 31 years, and they have five children: David, Matthew, Stephen, Renee, and Alicia, who died in a car accident over 8 years ago. Mrs. Beukelman enjoys spending time with her husband and children and being involved with the things her children are doing. When she has time, she enjoys reading, walking, baking, and canning. She also loves doing things with her job-reading, talking with parents, learning more and helping at school.

Mrs. Buekelman attended USD in Vermillion, SD and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Special Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. She has also added a Nursery School Endorsement which has more early childhood hours.  Mrs. Beukelman believes that her passion for teaching came from God calling her to this area. She loves working with children-especially kindergarten age.

Mrs. Beukelman's life verse is Colossians 3:23. Her vision for her classroom is to see each child in her room with the eyes of Jesus and love them as Christ does. When her students leave her class, Mrs. Beukelman hopes they leave desiring to be like Jesus, and to have a love for learning.

Mrs. Beukelman says that she has never been on a mission trip, but that she would love to go on one to Jamaica or Mexico.
